Operation of the American DR Series:
Known for quiet, dependable operation, the American DR Series has a sound level of only 71 decibels, the quietest in its class. All push button models use a heavy duty timer for extended life which turns on with a light touch and turns off automatically within either 30 or 40 seconds, and with the hair drying option, will run for up to 80 seconds. The standard 360° revolving nozzle and 1/10 HP, 3200 RPM motor produces a velocity of 5500 LFM with 160 CFM total air flow. A fixed nozzle is optional on all models. The surface mount dryer has a profile of 8-7/8” and is provided with conduit entrances for both between wall and surface wiring.

The American DR Series Design:
This one-piece, heavy duty, 16 gauge steel base with a white enamel finish, is the ultimate in vandal resistance. Tamper resistant screws secure the cover to base and the air intake vents are shielded for additional safety. The nozzle and push button are chrome plated zinc die castings. The motor is permanently lubricated, maintenance free, brushless induction motor with automatic resetting thermal protector. The automatic sensor is a RoHS compliant lead-free design and the heating element is constructed of NiChrome resistance wire with an automatic resetting thermostat. Side mounted heating element operates in the black range for maximum life producing temperatures between 130° - 145°F. Available in the following electrical rated amperage:

A little about your hand dryer installations: Dryers should be placed at least 2 feet apart and at least 12” from the washbasin. (Do not install dryer over washbasins.) Hand dryers require a dedicated circuit (max. 20 amp) and must be properly grounded. One side of dryer should be mounted to stud. For average traffic washroom, we recommend 1 dryer per 2 washbasins, if heavier traffic, 1 dryer per washbasin. If you have enough traffic for a 54” wash fountain, 4 dryers should be installed per sink.
