The eXtremeAir® is the high speed hand dryer for the next generation™. No dedicated line needed, the patented design of the EXT series is the first and only high speed hand dryer to reduce power consumption to an industry-leading 540 watts of electricity. That’s up to three times less power than other “green” hand dryers. Made in the U.S.A., the EXT Series is GreenSpec listed and available in a surface or ADA compliant recess mount.

Operation of the ExtremeAir® EXT Series:
The EXT Series is a high performance hand dryer that is 43% smaller than old “industry standard” high speed dryers; yet, it’s just as powerful and uses a lot less electricity. The 5/8 HP, 24,000 RPM motor produces an adjustable air velocity of 10,000 - 16,000 LFM. The EXT sound levels and drying times are also adjustable. The sound level is adjustable from 83 – 69 decibels. Adjust the dry time from a minimum of 12 seconds. The microprocessor controlled infrared sensor turns the dryer on when hands are under the outlet for up to 80 seconds if needed. The surface mount dryer has a profile of 5-5/8” and is provided with conduit entrances for both between wall and surface wiring.

The ExtremeAir® EXT Series Design:
The patented design is the most compact and energy efficient high speed hand dryer made in the U.S.A. This one-piece, heavy duty 18 gauge steel cover has a black graphite finish. Tamper resistant screws secure the cover to the steel base making the motor and heater inaccessible, and the air intake vents are shielded for additional safety. The motor is a powerful series commutated through-flow discharge vacuum motor/blower with an automatic resetting thermal protector. The automatic sensor is a RoHS compliant lead-free design and the heating element has an automatic thermal protector and operates in the black range for maximum life producing temperatures up to 95°F.

With the new Universal Voltage, you can connect the eXtremeAir® to any voltage 100 - 240 vac, 50 or 60 Hz. EXT Series dryers do NOT require a dedicated line. However, no more than 3 EXT Hand Dryers should be connected to one 20 amp line.

Optional Recessed Mounting Kit:
The EXT Series also offers a recess mounting kit. It requires a 14-1/2”W x 19-1/2”H rough wall opening and has a profile less than 4” making this fully ADA compliant. The same vandal resistant design includes a wall panel in the same finish and tamper resistant screws.

Optional Universal Adapter Plate:
Should you need to cover a large existing hand dryer installation site, this 14 gauge stainless steel plate (14”H x 16”W) will do it. It will cover the holes from older bulky hand dryers and paper towel dispensers being replaced.

A little about your hand dryer installations: Dryers should be placed at least 2 feet apart and at least 12” from the washbasin. (Do not install dryer over washbasins.) Automatic dryers should be at least 18” above any projection which may interfere with the operation of the automatic sensor. Most hand dryers require a dedicated circuit (max. 20 amp) but the EXT does not! One side of dryer should be mounted to stud. For average traffic washroom, we recommend 1 dryer per 2 washbasins, if heavier traffic, 1 dryer per washbasin. If you have enough traffic for a 54” wash fountain, 4 dryers should be installed per sink.
